Google has been a major help to control the Coronavirus outbreak to a vast extent. Last year, the tech giant company added various features in Google Maps, Search, and Google Assistant. Apart from that, they also rolled out the COVID layer as well as safety measures in the hotel listings. The main aim was to prevent the spreading of COVID-19 misinformation.
Google Maps & Search now shows COVID-19 Vaccine Locations
Since the search for “vaccines near me” increased in the last few months, Google immediately decided to launch this update. Those who use Google Maps and Search will now be able to instantly get Coronavirus vaccine locations nearby. This makes it easy for people to get the correct vaccine information. The update is available in India, Canada, Chile, France, Singapore, & the U.S. All you need to do is type COVID 19 vaccine, and the Google Search will immediately show you the new Vaccine Knowledge Panel. This will include detailed information on the list of nearby vaccination centers. Moreover, you’ll also notice plenty of reasons to get immunized, vaccine side effects, distribution, safety, and effectiveness. Just Google why, when, and where to get the vaccine?
Furthermore, just tap on any of the particular vaccination centers, and you’ll get information about their rules and restriction policies. Besides, you can even give them a call and book an appointment on the spot. On the other hand, the feature works the same way in Google Maps. Simply type coronavirus vaccine and the app will show vaccination centers with pinned locations.
In case, if you don’t see the feature on either of the apps, then try updating them. Apart from the vaccination centers, Google search will also show the regular Coronavirus updates, symptoms, prevention, and the world counts on Worldometer. Moreover, you can also check out the number of people that have been vaccinated so far. Giving vaccines is definitely challenging but necessary. Depending upon the locations of people and how far they are from the vaccine centers, it is quite difficult to get vaccinated. However, if you have good internet access, all you need to do is Google the nearest possible vaccine location. The Maps, Search or even the Assistant will instantly show you a list of hospitals, clinics, and centers with the locations pinned on a map. Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
