Whilst the 95th Academy Awards is still a few months away, those who are up for awards are due to be announced soon. Here is how to watch the Oscar nominations announcement – we’ve also rounded up all the information we know so far about the ceremony itself.
How to watch the 2023 Oscar nominations announcement
The nominees for the 2023 Academy Awards will be revealed on Tuesday 24 January 2023 at the following times:

ABC has confirmed that the show will be broadcast on Good Morning America on TV in America, and streamed live on Goodmorningamerica.com, ABC News Live and Disney+. Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams will be presenting the showcase. If you are based outside of the US, you should still be able to access the first two websites without the need for a VPN. We don’t know yet if Disney+ will be streaming the event internationally. Whilst nominees are not yet confirmed, films expected to be up for awards include Everything Everywhere All At Once, Top Gun: Maverick, Tár, Elvis, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Fabelmans and The Banshees of Inisherin.
When are the 2023 Oscars?
The 2023 Academy Awards are currently scheduled to be held in Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre on Sunday 12 March 2023, with exact timings to be revealed. It will be broadcast on TV and around the world.
Which channel is the Oscars on?
If you’re in the US, the Oscars will air on ABC. In the UK, no plans have yet been confirmed. However, in previous years the sub-channel Sky Cinema Oscars (channel 302) airs the ceremony, as well as red carpet coverage. This is then usually followed by a highlights reel on Sky Max the evening after. We will confirm the UK broadcasting plans closer to the time. How to watch the Oscars online
US viewers who won’t be near a TV have an easy option – head to the ABC website to stream the whole show live or watch it through the ABC app. Hulu Live TV and YouTube TV will also be streaming the show. UK viewers will likely be able to watch the show via Sky’s Now Cinema Membership, which costs £9.99 per month. Again, we will confirm if this is still the case closer to the time.
